Our client in the Clothing and Apparel Manufacturing industry is seeking to employ a Production Manager (textile / apparel) to join their team based at the manufacturing plant in Dimbaza, East London.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar Production Manager role within a manufacturing / textile environment.
  • Strong knowledge of garment production, including production flow, line setups, SMV for garments, garment construction, and equipment/machinery oversight.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, quality control, planning, and team management skills, with the ability to manage a factory of 600+ employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet daily factory production targets while managing production flow, bottlenecks, quality control, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and control factory operations, including resource allocation, equipment oversight, health and safety compliance, and production efficiency.
  • Build and maintain a strong inclusive team environment while demonstrating effective leadership, communication, time management, and performance management skills.
