Job Description

Introduction This role supports the rollout, configuration and day-to-day technical operation of a Cloud-based Point-of-Sale (POS) solution for hospitality businesses, including sit down restaurants, Take Away and Bars.The successful candidate will assist with system implementation, hardware setup, training, and customer support, helping ensure stable deployments and a positive customer experience. Duties & Responsibilities Cloud POS Implementation Assist with onboarding new customers onto the Cloud POS platform Support configuration of: Web-based back-office modules (stock, recipes, sales products) iOS, Android and Windows-based POS terminals (ordering, payments, transfers, voids) Help prepare and validate systems before go-live Hardware & Infrastructure Support Assist with setup and basic troubleshooting of: Android tablets, iOS tablets, Android and Windows based all-in-one POS devices include POS peripherals (printers, cash drawers, network switches, scanners etc.) Integrations Support Assist with setup and validation of: Card payment providers Online ordering platforms Perform basic testing and escalate integration issues clearly and accurately Training & Customer Support Assist with customer training for: Front-of-house POS usage Manager back-office operations Provide telephonic and remote support for day-to-day operational issues Participate in onsite support and implementations Product & Team Growth Support Capture customer feedback and recurring issues Assist with user acceptance testing and validation of new features Contribute to training material and basic documentation Grow toward supporting and eventually leading implementation and support functions as the business scales Matric Diploma or degree in IT, Information Systems, or a related field Previous experience in hospitality systems, technical support, POS environments, hardware setup, and troubleshooting Strong knowledge of Android, iOS, and Windows operating systems Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, routers, switches, DHCP, and static IP configuration Understanding of cloud-based/SaaS platforms and web-based administration systems Experience with POS hardware and peripherals including receipt printers, cash drawers, scanners, payment terminals, and network devices Previous experience using remote support and remote desktop tools Ability to interpret POS sales reports, operational data, and hospitality business workflows Strong understanding of hospitality operational environments including restaurants, bars, and takeaway operations Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and escalation skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple support tasks simultaneously Will be required to travel for onsite implementations and support OWN CAR is essential Flexibility to assist after hours during go-lives or critical operational issues
