About the Role

The Organisational Safety Business Partner plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe and healthy work environment, and implementing policies and procedures that align with group objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety inspections and audits on a frequent and regular basis.
  • Compile risk assessments annually.
  • Conduct regular Fire Prevention inspections.
  • Ensure all safety signs and notices are prominently displayed at all sites.
  • Ensure machinery is in good working order and maintained in accordance to OHS requirements.
  • Maintain good housekeeping principles at all sites.
  • Conduct monthly inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements (OHS Act, Municipal By-laws, etc.).
  • Manage and coordinate administration related to Health and Safety.
  • Submit and maintain IOD claims.
  • Compile monthly Occupational Health and Safety reports.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures at all sites.
  • Maintain site emergency evacuation plans.
  • Maintain the accident and incident investigation programme.
  • Ensure sound maintenance of Occupational Health and Safety records at all sites.

Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification, Health and Safety Tertiary qualification preferred.
  • SAMTRAC Qualification advantageous.
  • Environmental law (14001) and OHS (45001) ideal.
