About the Role
We are seeking a General Handyman to maintain the physical environment of a luxury wine estate in Franschhoek to the highest standard. A wine estate is a living environment shaped daily through care, precision, and quiet attention to detail. Every element must function seamlessly to support an experience that feels effortless.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing routine maintenance and general repairs across the property
- Addressing plumbing, electrical, and structural upkeep issues
- Conducting preventative maintenance checks to avoid operational disruptions
- Responding promptly and effectively to maintenance requests
- Ensuring all guest and operational areas are fully functional at all times
- Supporting the overall upkeep and presentation of the estate
- Working closely with operational teams to minimise impact on the guest experience
Requirements
Proven experience in general maintenance or a similar role
Strong practical, hands-on problem-solving ability
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
Reliable, organised, and consistent approach to work
