Newcastle: Yellow Equipment – Diesel Technician (Field & Workshop Service)

An opportunity for an experienced YELLOW EQUIPMENT – DIESEL TECHNICIAN (FIELD & WORKSHOP SERVICE) is required for permanent employment based in Newcastle. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Diagnose, repair and maintain earthmoving and construction equipment Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and servicing Perform field service breakdowns and emergency repairs Diagnose hydraulic, electrical and mechanical faults Interpret technical manuals and OEM specifications Complete job cards and service documentation accurately Conduct machine inspections and fault reporting Commission and test repaired equipment Support workshop and customer site operations Maintain high safety and workmanship standards EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Grade 12 (Matric) Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Technician Min 35 years” yellow plant/equipment experience preferred Experience on excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, articulated dump trucks or similar equipment advantageous Strong hydraulic diagnostics knowledge Electrical and electronic fault-finding skills Computer literate Valid driver”s licence Ability to travel for field service work Traceable & contactable references Local residency or relocation required
