About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Pro-Match Recruitment in Gauteng. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing bookkeeping for multiple clients, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations. You will also prepare trial balances and workpapers up to financial statements, assist with VAT submissions, payroll records, and other compliance-related documentation. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage bookkeeping for multiple clients, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare trial balances and workpapers up to financial statements.
  • Assist with VAT submissions, payroll records, and other compliance-related documentation.
  • Work in CaseWare to organize and prepare financial data.
  • Liaise with senior accountants to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Support audit preparation and respond to client queries as required.

Requirements

  • Proven bookkeeping experience in an accounting environment.
  • Proficiency in CaseWare is preferred.
  • Experience with financial statements is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Proven bookkeeping experience (3+ years)
  • Proficiency in CaseWare software
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred but not mandatory
