Job Description
- Develop and implement national and regional sales strategies to expand market share and drive revenue growth in the commercial vehicle sector.
- Lead and manage dealer network performance, maintain strong relationships with fleet clients, and oversee direct sales channels.
- Establish and monitor key sales performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies to ensure quarterly and annual targets are achieved.
Marketing Strategy & Brand Management
- Direct the company’s brand positioning, advertising initiatives, and promotional campaigns to strengthen market presence.
- Ensure marketing activities align with product launches, seasonal demand cycles, and targeted customer segments.
- Maintain compliance with local advertising regulations and ensure marketing communications are culturally relevant to the South African market.
Strategic Planning & Performance Reporting
- Work closely with the General Manager to align commercial strategies with the organisation’s overall business objectives.
- Prepare and present monthly sales performance reports, market intelligence, and strategic insights for executive review.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving customer experience, loyalty, and long-term client retention.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership and oversight to departmental heads, including the Regional Sales Manager and Regional Marketing Manager.
- Support recruitment, training, and professional development of sales and marketing personnel.
- Foster a results-driven, customer-focused culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Automotive Management, or a related field (MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in senior commercial leadership roles within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing dealer networks and large fleet sales operations.
- Strong knowledge of South African automotive regulations and a solid understanding of Southern African regional market dynamics.
