About the Role

Signa Opportunity is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Workshop Cleaner to join our team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop environment while ensuring compliance with our Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, waste disposal, and restroom maintenance, to ensure all areas remain clean and hygienic.

* Comply with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and the safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

* Maintain all cleaning tools, materials, and supplies in good working condition, and promptly report any faults, shortages, or maintenance requirements to the Supervisor.

* Interact professionally with staff and visitors while supporting overall site operations and promoting a positive work environment.

* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop at all times.

* Adhere to the company’s Health & Safety Policy and Procedures, ensuring compliance with Safe Work and ISO-related standards.

Requirements

* South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.

* Must not have participated on the YES programme before.

* Matric.

* Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment.

* Exposure to heavy machinery or industrial workspaces (advantageous).

Skills and Competencies

* Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards in an industrial setting.

* Ability to safely handle cleaning equipment (e.g., industrial vacuums, pressure washers).

* Understanding of correct disposal methods for hazardous materials (oil, grease, waste).

* Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.

* Attention to detail to maintain cleanliness in high-use areas.
