About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Germiston, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical products, managing projects within budgets, and ensuring compliance with manufacturing costs and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical products using SolidWorks
- Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence
- Conduct a thorough understanding of mechanical design principles and their application in the industry
- Analyze and interpret welding procedures, NDT, and applicable welding specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Technical Drawing (EGD)
- Tertiary qualification – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 2-5 Years Experience in the Design and Manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing costs
