Job Description

Our client is well-regarded South African automotive retail group with a multi-franchise dealership network across major regions. The group represents a diverse portfolio of established and expanding international vehicle brands, focusing on quality service and reliable dealership operations.

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Stock Controller to oversee the end-to-end inventory administration process. You will ensure optimal inventory accuracy, seamless vehicle logistics, and precise system updates for dealership assets.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and log all incoming vehicles against delivery documentation to ensure accuracy and identify any transit damage.
  • Update and maintain the internal dealership management system with real-time stock statuses, vehicle allocations, and location changes.
  • Coordinate vehicle movements between storage facilities, workshop preparation, valet, and the showroom floor.
  • Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
  • Manage vehicle documentation, including registration papers, manufacturer certificates, spare keys, and service books.
  • Liaise closely with sales teams, workshop coordinators, and logistics suppliers to ensure vehicles are prepared and available on schedule.

Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
  • Proven experience working as a Stock Controller or Inventory Administrator within a franchise automotive dealership environment.
  • Proficiency using recognized Dealership Management Systems (DMS) such as Automate, Kerridge, or similar.
  • Solid numerical skills and experience conducting high-accuracy physical inventory reconciliations.
  • A valid South African driver’s license.
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel.

Remuneration R15 000 – R20 000 CTC, dependent on experience.
