About the Role

The Draftsman role at our company involves creating accurate technical drawings and designs for sheet metal components and assemblies, while collaborating with engineers and designers to support production and ensure high-quality industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product designers to realise project concepts.
  • Review, revise, and optimise designs based on project requirements.
  • Maintain drawing files and associated documentation.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards.
  • Support prototype development and production handover.
  • Provide technical drawings and guidance to the manufacturing team.
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Interpret technical specifications and incorporate feedback effectively.

Requirements

  • Relevant drafting or mechanical design qualification.
  • Experience from 1-7 years depending on level (Junior to Senior).
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD preferred.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes an advantage.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing industry standards and drafting practices.
