About the Role
Bushwise, an exclusive luxury safari lodge group, is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead multiple high-end lodges within a renowned private reserve. This senior leadership position is responsible for the overall management, operations, and strategic direction of multiple lodges. The ideal candidate will deliver world-class guest experiences, lead high-performing teams, and drive sustainability and community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full lodge operations across multiple properties
- Maintain and elevate exceptional guest service standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop management teams and staff
- Manage budgets, financial controls, and CAPEX planning
- Drive sustainability and conservation initiatives
- Build strong relationships with local communities & stakeholders
- Oversee HR, training, and staff development plans
- Ensure health, safety, and risk compliance
- Collaborate across departments (operations, culinary, conservation, air/ground logistics)
- Host VIP guests, agents, and media
Requirements
- 35 years experience in a senior lodge management role
- Proven leadership within luxury hospitality environments
- Strong financial and operational management skills
- Passion for conservation and sustainable tourism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and service excellence
- Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous)
- Computer literate
