About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Host/Duty Manager to join our luxury boutique hotel in Ballito, South Africa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, supporting daily hotel operations, and maintaining high service standards across all departments during your shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of in-house guest experience during shift
  • Welcome and engage guests in a professional, warm manner
  • Anticipate guest needs and deliver proactive service
  • Manage special occasions, requests, and guest preferences
  • Handle guest concerns and service recovery with professionalism
  • Maintain a visible and consistent hosting presence throughout the hotel
  • Oversee Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, and Spa during shift
  • Ensure smooth operational flow during peak service periods
  • Support and guide team members on the floor
  • Step in operationally where required to maintain service excellence
  • Coordinate effectively across all departments
  • Uphold luxury service standards at all times
  • Monitor room presentation, public areas, and guest spaces
  • Maintain ambiance (lighting, cleanliness, music, setup, etc.)
  • Conduct regular property walkthroughs during shift
