About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team in Johannesburg, working on a variety of earthmoving equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, experience with hydraulic and electronic control systems, and a valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems on earthmoving equipment
- Troubleshoot faults in wiring, sensors, control units, and CAN bus systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime
- Interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct on-site and workshop-based repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Complete job cards and maintain accurate service records
Requirements
- Trade Test Certificate as an Auto Electrician
- Proven experience working on earthmoving or heavy-duty equipment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electronic control systems
- Valid drivers license (Code 08 or higher)
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
