Job Description

RecruitCo is looking for a dynamic and impactful Business Development Manager to join the team in Gauteng (Parktown/Centurion). Inherent Requirements: Matric Minimum 5 to 10 years’ solution sales experience of which at least 5 years must be from a Temporary Employment Service (TES) environment. Must be familiar with the Labour Legislation such as the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Labour Relations Act (LRA) and Bargaining Councils Strategic high-volume TES project experience, with a proven sales track record, dealing directly with critical stakeholders Technical industry knowledge Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Good command of the English language Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to communicate effectively with Clients A valid drivers’ license with own reliable vehicle – essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct telesales that will lead to secured appointments/ presentation to clients Develop and nurture client relationships to foster the expansion of business opportunities Ensuring effective above average customer service. Build long-term client relationships for temporary staffing solutions Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets Ensure the attainment of monthly financial goals established by the Director: TES Lateral development of existing client base/ services. Expand and maintain a robust client database through effective networking Proactively engage in cold calling and lead generation to meet specified targets Conduct daily client meetings in accordance with set targets Provide exemplary custom service to enhance opportunities for repeat business Prepare and present tailored solutions to clients Demonstrate effective negotiation skills for rates and service fees Generate and follow-up on client quotations, ensuring successful closure Conduct thorough research on clients before meetings to optimize network opportunities Ideal Characteristic Traits: Ability to work at a fast pace Willing to work under extreme pressure Remain self-motivated and use own initiative Structured and systematic Self-disciplined, self-driven and results orientated Task and deadline drive Innovative and proactive approach to problem solving Working Hours: 08h00 to 17h00 (Monday to Friday) Overtime and after-hours client engagement as required

Job Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a pivotal role as the primary liaison between the Company and its esteemed Clients. This role entails identifying and comprehending the unique needs of each Client while adeptly managing their expectations. The overarching goal is to cultivate robust, enduring relationships with Clients and to spearhead the acquisition of new business opportunities. Â Responsibilities: Â Business Development: Generate leads through various channels, including networking, referrals, and cold outreach. Research market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to identify opportunities for business expansion. Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to showcase company capabilities and network with potential clients. Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts. Client Management: Cultivate enduring relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations. Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients to strengthen rapport. Negotiate competitive billing rates with clients while ensuring profitability. Oversee the management of client contracts, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Contracting terms. Conduct regular weekly/monthly check-ins with existing consultants to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. Permanent Recruitment Contracting: Expertly qualify job specifications received from clients. Effectively load and manage job specifications within the Recruitment System. Provide guidance to recruiters on client culture and candidate requirements. Thoroughly qualify and submit CVs to clients in accordance with their needs. Oversee the completion of reference and background checks for all submitted candidates. Conduct interviews as necessary to assess candidate suitability. IT Consulting: This role requires a dynamic individual with a keen understanding of IT project consulting services, strong sales acumen, and the ability to build and nurture relationships with clients. Identify, pursue, and secure IT project consulting opportunities on behalf of the company. Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions to meet client needs effectively. Lead negotiations of contracts and agreements, ensuring favourable terms for the company. Proposal Development and Presentation: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients. Customize proposals to address the specific needs and challenges of each client. Follow up with clients to address questions, concerns, and objections and to secure commitment to move forward. Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales process. Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to foster repeat business and referrals. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations on IT project strategies and solutions. Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals. Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with sufficient opportunities to achieve targets. Track and report on key performance indicators, including sales conversion rates, deal size, and win/loss ratios. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in IT consulting or technology services. Strong understanding of IT project lifecycle and consulting methodologies. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels of an organization. Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented approach to sales. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. Proficiency in sales tools for pipeline management and reporting.

Job Requirements Matric Bachelors Degree in engineering, Business, (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering). Experience in Nitrogen, Oxygen, CO2, PET and CNG/LNG applications, installation, sizing, and a clear understanding of these applications and processes. Proven track record in business development and technical sales, ideally within industrial gases, compressors, or energy-related sectors. Experience working with distributors and regional partners in Southern Africa. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently. Willingness to travel extensively within South Africa and neighbouring countries. Strategic thinker with hands-on sales ability. Technical aptitude to understand and communicate product benefits. Strong commercial acumen and customer focus. Ability to balance short-term sales execution with long-term business development goals. Resilience, adaptability, and drive to succeed in a developing market.

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. Key Responsibilities

About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing the power base within the Buying Centre, developing solutions that satisfy critical elements, and leading demand-generating sales activities in the assigned market. As a key member of our sales team, you will build relationships with Principal Vendors and negotiate pricing & procurement control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve the annual revenue/sales target
  • Lead demand-generating sales activities
  • Convert sales opportunities to wins, track billing, and survey customer satisfaction
  • Source and distribute relevant thought leadership and marketing material

Requirements

  • 2 – 4 years of experience in Business Development or a related field
  • Accomplished in Solution Selling
  • Articulate the clients compelling business need

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
