About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating leads, establishing client needs, and developing solutions to drive business growth. You will also lead relationship-building initiatives with Principal Vendors and manage business risk while maintaining high levels of customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate leads for new markets and clients
- Establish and articulate client’s business needs and develop solutions
- Secure business and maintain high levels of after-sales customer care
- Lead relationship building initiatives with Principal Vendors including pricing negotiations
- Achieve annual revenue and sales targets
- Convert sales opportunities into wins and track billing
- Advise on appropriate solution pricing schedules
- Collaborate with other business units to identify market opportunities
- Manage business risk and ensure highest ethical standards
- Oversee relationships with service providers and partners
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Business Development or related field
- Proven track record of generating new leads and driving sales growth
- Strong understanding of client needs and ability to develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
