About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and projects for various industries including construction, manufacturing, and telecommunications.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components.
- Conducting feasibility studies and cost estimates for projects.
- Collaborating with teams to develop innovative solutions for electrical systems.
- Implementing safety procedures and protocols for electrical projects.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues with electrical systems.
- Managing project timelines and budgets.
- Providing technical support and guidance to team members.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Must be registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
- Experience in mineral processing in a design and construction environment.
- Knowledge of power systems and LV/MV design.
- Functional safety and hazardous area experience and/or exposure in mining/industrial environments.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, control systems and communications elements relevant to the delivery of a fully functional plant.
- Understanding of relevant South African and industry codes and standards.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey electrical engineering outcomes with clients, stakeholders and other disciplines as required.
- Demonstrated ability and genuine enthusiasm to motivate and mentor emerging engineers.
