Job Description

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced FMCG Inventory Manager to join their team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. This includes tracking inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring accurate stock records.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and meet customer demand.
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and manage relationships with key vendors.
Conduct regular inventory audits to identify and rectify discrepancies.
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, anticipate demand, and make informed decisions.
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to forecast inventory needs and plan replenishment orders.
Implement best practices for warehouse management, including organizing stock, implementing FIFO system, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Train and supervise inventory control staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to continuously improve inventory management processes.
Report to senior management on inventory performance, trends, and KPIs.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management within the FMCG industry.
Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
