We are looking for a driven, energetic, and commercially minded Junior Business Development Executive to join our Johannesburg team and support our growth strategy. Purpose of the Role: The Junior Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships within the commercial property industry, generating qualified leads, and supporting the business development process from prospecting through to project award. The ideal candidate is highly proactive, enjoys networking, is confident engaging with senior decision-makers, and has a genuine interest in commercial property, workplace design, construction, and business development. Key Responsibilities Lead Generation & Prospecting • Research and identify companies that may be relocating, expanding, consolidating, or refurbishing their office space. • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients. • Conduct outbound prospecting through phone calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, networking events, and referrals. • Identify opportunities within corporate occupiers, landlords, brokers, project managers, and consultants. Relationship Building • Establish and maintain relationships with: o Commercial property brokers o Tenant representatives o Landlords and property owners o Project management firms o Corporate real estate teams o Procurement and facilities managers • Attend industry events, networking functions, and client meetings. • Assist in growing Trend Group’s referral network. Opportunity Tracking & Pipeline Management • Maintain accurate CRM records and activity tracking. • Monitor lease expiries, market movements, and office relocation opportunities. • Track tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and upcoming projects. • Prepare weekly pipeline reports and opportunity updates. Business Development Support • Coordinate meetings for senior business development team members. • Assist with proposal submissions, capability presentations, and credentials documents. • Support bid and tender processes. • Follow up on outstanding opportunities and maintain client engagement. Market Intelligence • Monitor commercial property news and market activity. • Research industry trends and competitor activity. • Identify new developments, tenant movements, and market opportunities.
