About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a Senior Technical Accounting & Governance Lead to provide specialist accounting expertise, drive compliance, and strengthen reporting processes across their group. This role partners with business units, senior finance leaders, and auditors to manage technical accounting matters, oversee statutory reporting, and support strategic finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead groupwide compliance with IFRS and assess the impact of accounting standard changes
- Develop, maintain, and enforce group accounting policies and frameworks
- Act as the technical advisor on complex accounting and reporting matters
- Oversee the preparation and review of statutory financial statements and group reports
- Drive the year-end reporting process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
- Manage relationships with external auditors and support audit processes
- Contribute to ad-hoc group finance initiatives, including acquisitions and systems projects
- Oversee control self-assessment processes and internal governance structures
Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification
- At least 5 years’ post-article experience
- Extensive technical accounting and IFRS exposure
- Group reporting or multientity experience beneficial
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
- Ability to manage complexity and tight reporting deadlines
