Take ownership of a high-impact operations leadership role within a fast-paced cargo environment. Drive performance, compliance, and customer experience across a national network.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage national cargo operations, customer experience, and service delivery
* Oversee daily operational activities, ensuring efficiency, coordination, and compliance
* Drive customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution
* Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, service providers, and regulators
* Monitor operational performance metrics, including on-time performance and service levels
* Ensure compliance with aviation safety, security, and regulatory requirements
* Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams while managing performance and capacity
* Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and cost control measures
* Manage audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure accurate billing, claims handling, and discrepancy resolution processes
Requirements
* Diploma in Business Management or Administration (NQF Level 7)
* 35 years experience in cargo or logistics operations within an airport environment
* At least 3 years in a management role within cargo operations
* Strong knowledge of aviation cargo handling, safety, and regulatory frameworks
* Experience with stakeholder engagement, customer service, and operational reporting
* Understanding of labour legislation and HR/IR practices
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Ability to work extended hours and travel when required
