About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Logistics) to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. As the organisational engine of the broader Tech team, you will drive the execution of all technical projects across the business, ensuring rapid and efficient delivery of scoping, development, deployment, and adoption across client integrations, internal CRM systems, core platform modernisations, and infrastructure upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Enterprise-Wide Tech Delivery
- Manage the end-to-end execution of diverse technology projects across the entire Tech team, ensuring they are delivered on time, in full, and within budget.
- Oversee project lifecycles spanning client engagements, deployments, core system enhancements, and new digital product rollouts.
- Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the central coordinator between Development teams, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and Client-facing Integration Specialists.
- Build a culture of speed and accountability within Project teams, tracking milestones, managing sprint cycles, and removing delivery blockers daily.
- Manage Risk, Resources and Quality
- Maintain clear visibility and reporting on all ongoing tech pipelines for the CTO and executive team.
- Proactively manage project resources, mapping capacity across Developers, Analysts, and Support staff to maintain a steady flow of high-value delivery.
- Drive Continuous Improvement Processes
- Regularly review project delivery life cycles (scoping, building, testing, deploying) to identify bottlenecks and implement more efficient agile methodologies.
- Standardise project reporting and tracking tools to provide the executive team with real-time, transparent views of project health.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Recognised Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum Master) is Non-Negotiable.
Experience/Skills
- Minimum 6 years’ experience with at least 2 years within a similar role.
- Deep experience in agile delivery and managing multiple, concurrent technical projects.
- Experienced in managing distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders in fast-paced settings.
- Commercially minded, connects tech execution to bottom-line impact.
