About the Role
The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing process, working closely with our team to implement and maintain quality management systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant standards
- Implement and maintain documentation control systems, including NCRs and CAPA
- Collaborate with the team to identify and address root causes of defects and non-conformities
- Utilize inspection tools and technical drawings to verify product quality
- Develop and implement effective health and safety protocols
- Provide training and guidance to staff on quality management systems and procedures
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) essential
- Trade qualification in Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, or related field advantageous
- 35 years experience in quality control within manufacturing, refrigeration, or installation environments
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 3834-2, and quality management systems
- Experience with NCRs, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and documentation control
