About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our luxury safari lodge in the North West Province. As a hands-on technical leader, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations to ensure the lodge remains fully functional, safe, and maintained to 5-star luxury standards in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all maintenance operations across the lodge and staff areas
• Ensure facilities, buildings, and infrastructure are maintained to 5-star standards
• Lead and supervise the maintenance team and allocate daily tasks
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns
• Coordinate repairs, renovations, and upgrades with lodge management
• Manage maintenance budgets and control costs effectively
• Source and procure maintenance materials and supplies
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Maintain water systems, electrics, plumbing, and general lodge infrastructure
• Support asset protection and ensure equipment longevity
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting
Requirements
Strong technical knowledge (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general maintenance)
Strong leadership and team supervision ability
Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
Strong organisational and planning ability
Ability to work under pressure in remote environments
