About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Reservationist (OTA Specialist) to join our boutique hospitality group in Johannesburg. As a key member of our head office team, you will be responsible for managing all online and direct bookings across multiple luxury properties, ensuring seamless guest booking experiences while maintaining rate integrity and operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all reservations across direct and OTA channels (Expedia, Apply Below, etc.)
- Maintain accurate availability, rates, content, and listings across platforms
- Process bookings, amendments, cancellations, and special requests
- Handle guest booking enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Work with channel managers and PMS systems (Opera or similar)
- Support revenue management processes and reporting
- Identify and flag discrepancies in rates, availability, and system updates
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate booking flow
- Manage all pre-arrival guest correspondence
- Communicate guest requirements clearly to property teams
Requirements
- 3+ years reservations experience in luxury hospitality (essential)
- Strong OTA platform experience (Expedia, Apply Below, etc.) (essential)
- Experience with channel managers and PMS systems (Opera or similar) (essential)
- Strong understanding of rate management, availability control, and yield principles (essential)
- Excellent written English communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency
- Stable employment history with contactable references
- Currently based in Johannesburg (essential)
