Sales Executive Seedling Industry

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Territory: Mpumalanga & Limpopo
Employment Type: Permanent

Our client, a well-established company within the agricultural and seedling industry, is seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Executive to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and growing market share across Mpumalanga and Limpopo.

This position is ideal for an energetic sales professional with a passion for agriculture and a proven ability to build long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the agricultural sector.
  • Promote and sell the company’s seedling and related agricultural products.
  • Conduct regular client visits throughout Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
  • Provide customers with product recommendations and technical guidance.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales reports.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Attend agricultural events, exhibitions, and industry functions.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and after-sales support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful product delivery.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Relevant qualification in Sales, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field will be advantageous.
  • Proven external sales experience within the agriculture, horticulture, nursery, seedling, irrigation, or related industries.
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and convert leads into sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
