Technician
Location: Johannesburg

Extensive Travel Across Africa Required
Our client, a leader in the agricultural sector, is seeking a skilled and motivated Agricultural Technician to join their dynamic team. This exciting role is ideal for a technically strong individual with experience in electrical systems and pneumatics who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and travelling throughout Africa to support clients and agricultural operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, maintain, and repair agricultural equipment and systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic faults.
- Provide technical support to clients both on-site and remotely.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment.
- Assist customers with operational and technical queries.
- Prepare service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide training and guidance to clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Travel extensively throughout Africa to support customer sites and projects.
Minimum Requirements
- Trade Test, Technical Qualification, or relevant Electrical/Mechanical qualification.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and pneumatics.
- Proven experience in a technical field service environment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
- Experience providing remote technical support to clients.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s licence and valid passport.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Africa.
- Ability to work flexible hours when required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience within the agricultural, irrigation, farming, processing, or related industries.
- Knowledge of automation and control systems.
- Experience with commissioning and installation of agricultural equipment.
