Our client, a leader in the agricultural sector, is seeking a skilled and motivated Agricultural Technician to join their dynamic team. This exciting role is ideal for a technically strong individual with experience in electrical systems and pneumatics who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and travelling throughout Africa to support clients and agricultural operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair agricultural equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Provide technical support to clients both on-site and remotely.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Assist customers with operational and technical queries.
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide training and guidance to clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Travel extensively throughout Africa to support customer sites and projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Trade Test, Technical Qualification, or relevant Electrical/Mechanical qualification.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and pneumatics.
• Proven experience in a technical field service environment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
• Experience providing remote technical support to clients.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and valid passport.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Africa.
• Ability to work flexible hours when required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within the agricultural, irrigation, farming, processing, or related industries.
• Knowledge of automation and control systems.
• Experience with commissioning and installation of agricultural equipment.
