About the Role
Our client, a well-established high-end residential and commercial construction company operating throughout the Garden Route, is seeking to employ an experienced Senior Site Manager / Foreman to join their team based in Knysna. We are looking for a practical, hands-on construction leader who understands how to build, lead teams, maintain quality standards and drive programme delivery on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of site operations and project execution
- Independently manage construction sites with minimal supervision
- Plan and coordinate construction activities in accordance with project programmes
- Manage labour, subcontractors and suppliers effectively
- Oversee procurement and materials management on site
- Maintain quality control and finishing standards throughout the construction process
- Ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications
- Monitor project progress and drive programme delivery
- Prepare and submit site reports as required
- Resolve site-related challenges and implement practical solutions
- Maintain strong communication with management, suppliers and subcontractors
- Assist with broader operational and project leadership responsibilities where required
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of practical construction experience
Strong background in residential construction, preferably high-end homes and bespoke projects
Proven ability to independently run a construction site with minimal supervision
Excellent understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and planning
Strong procurement and materials management capabilities
Ability to manage labour, subcontractors and suppliers effectively
Sound knowledge of quality control and finishing standards
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
Good computer literacy and reporting ability
Stable employment history with traceable references
