Krugersdorp: Metallurgical Foreman posted by Hire Resolve

Hire Resolve’s client, a leading mining company, is currently seeking a skilled Metallurgical Foreman to join their team based in the Krugersdorp, Gauteng.

Requirements:

– Senior Certificate (Grade 12)

– Supervisory course or First line manager course

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in metallurgy / related field.

– Min 5 years experience in metallurgical operations, with demonstrated proficiency in processing plant operation, maintenance management and planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations within the plant during your shift, following MTR Operations Safety Standards, Policies, and MHSA procedures.

– Communicate clearly with staff and various disciplines to promote understanding and adherence to instructions and regulations.

– Hold regular team meetings to discuss production, safety, and work-related matters, fostering a culture of collaboration.

– Provide clear directives and offer guidance to the team in addressing problem areas.

– Plan, lead, organize, and oversee operations within the designated area, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

– Carry out all reasonable and non-routine tasks assigned by the Plant Manager or Senior Metallurgist.

– Manage process conditions and prioritize breakdowns to ensure timely repairs and minimize production downtime.

– Maintain sufficient critical spare parts inventory on-site to facilitate quick replacements.

– Track and document process equipment maintenance, ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules and standards.
