About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team in Kuruman, where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy earthmoving equipment and mining machinery. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will work closely with our maintenance and repair teams to ensure optimal performance and safety of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform breakdown maintenance on heavy earthmoving equipment
- Carry out planned maintenance activities as per schedule
- Conduct fault finding and electrical diagnostics on mining machinery
- Repair and replace faulty electrical components and systems
- Complete job cards and maintenance documentation accurately
- Requisition required parts and follow up on breakdowns
- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems on mining equipment
- Diagnose and repair wiring, sensors, alternators, and starter systems
- Ensure optimal performance of equipment through preventative maintenance
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Trade Test Certificate: Automotive Electrician
- N2 Engineering qualification in relevant field
- Minimum 3 years post-trade experience
- Experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment in an opencast mining environment
- Valid Drivers License
