Job Description
- Construction of works to latest engineering / architects drawings and specifications
- Planning based on construction program to meet target end date.
- Co-ordination of plant, labour, formwork and materials on site.
- Take pride in work on site and ensure works are carried out to best possible quality and protected during the project to minimize snags at practical, works and final completion.
- Supervise and train workers and tradesmen.
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
- Ensuring all employees on adhere to company safety policy and OHS Act
- Ensuring daily records are kept on site recording any delays, etc., in the daily contract book.
- Ordering materials for works; needed to be carried out using requisition books.
- Ensure specific works are inspected by engineers prior to pouring concrete.
- Minimise wastage on site.
- Manage site cleanliness and general housekeeping.
- Co-ordinate sub-contactors on site to ensure works are carried out in sequence and according to the building programme.
- Shall hold fortnightly meetings with sub-contractors and keep adequate records of such meetings.
- Report on progress to managers and engineers.
- Ensure wage cards are filled out correctly by the site clerk.
- Act only on written instruction from engineers or architect, any works that is additional to the contract.
- Responsible for completion of all snags in achieving PC, Works and final completion.
