Job Description
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Mining or a related field.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience working as a Project Manager within the mining industry.
- Proven experience managing large-scale mining, construction, infrastructure, or underground projects.
- Strong understanding of mining operations, project lifecycle management, and construction methodologies.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations within the mining sector.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Computer literacy in MS Office Suite and project management software.
- Willingness to work on-site in Limpopo for the duration of the contract.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee mining-related projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines and budget constraints.
- Coordinate and manage contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with mine health and safety standards, company policies, and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and project meetings to ensure operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Ensure quality control measures are maintained throughout all project phases.
- Manage procurement processes and ensure availability of project materials and equipment.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and operational performance.
- Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately and updated accordingly.
