About the Role
Our client, a leading collection of game lodges, is seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to lead and manage all human resource functions across their safari and hospitality operations. This pivotal role ensures compliance with South African labour legislation, supports operational performance, and fosters a professional, service-driven workforce aligned with the company’s standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Oversee performance management, training, and staff development.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation, including the Employment Equity Act.
- Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
- Partner with management to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Provide relief lodge management support when required.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of South African labour laws and HR compliance. Experience with the Employment Equity Act is beneficial. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and manage diverse teams. High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
Qualifications
Formal qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology preferred. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an HR Manager or Assistant HR Manager in the hospitality/tourism sector. SAGE experience Proven responsibility for managing HR functions for at least 100 employees.
