About the Role
The Macassar: Creditors Controller role is a critical position that ensures the efficient management of accounts payable functions, maintaining accurate financial records and compliance with company and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and verifying invoices and credit notes from suppliers
- Checking for correct rates and duplicate invoices
- Capturing invoices on Sage Evolution
- Reconciling supplier statements with internal records
- Preparing payments to creditors with proper approvals
- Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
- Maintaining accurate and organised financial records
- Filing and archiving financial documentation
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and VAT regulations
- Assisting with audits and supplying necessary documentation
- Performing ad hoc tasks as required
- Generating reports on creditor balances and payment schedules
- Liaising with suppliers and internal departments regarding accounts payable
Requirements
- Certificate / Diploma in Bookkeeping, Finance or Accounting
- Strong working proficiency in Sage Evolution
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Proven experience in a creditors or accounts payable role
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
