About the Role
A Game Lodge in Malelane is seeking a strong and experienced Financial Manager with a solid background in hospitality finance to oversee all financial functions of the lodge while also being capable of stepping in as relief General Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Manage cash flow, cost control, and financial planning
- Prepare and present financial reports to management
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Work closely with department heads to control costs and improve profitability
- Assist with operational management of the lodge when required
- Act as Relief General Manager during management absence
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure audit readiness
Requirements
- RSA ID and legal residence essential
- Proven experience as a Financial Manager within hospitality
- Strong background in lodge or hotel operations
- Previous lodge management experience beneficial
- Solid financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and make operational decisions
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
