About the Role
Hire Resolve, an online flower and gift retailer offering same-day delivery nationwide, is seeking a proactive Product Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be commercially-minded and have experience in product development, buying, or procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Trend Analysis: Identify emerging market trends and customer needs to source and develop high-potential products.
- GTM Execution: Collaborate with Marketing to execute successful product launches and track post-launch performance.
- Sales Growth: Develop buying strategies for assigned categories and identify opportunities through sales data analysis.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships and evaluate performance metrics.
- Negotiation: Secure favorable pricing, delivery, and payment terms to protect and improve profit margins.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor cost structures and identify savings without compromising quality or value.
- Stock Optimization: Balance product availability with holding costs by monitoring turnover and reorder cycles.
- Demand Forecasting: Partner with Supply Chain to forecast demand, prevent stockouts, and reduce lead times.
- Systems Management: Utilize inventory management systems to maintain data accuracy and replenishment reliability.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven background in product development, buying, or procurement (Retail environment preferred).
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in interpreting sales data, forecasting demand, and using inventory management software.
