About the Role
We are excited to announce the opening of our new Asian Kitchen restaurant at the Winelands Square Shopping Center in Paarl, and we’re looking for enthusiastic Junior Chefs to join our team! As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting with daily production and service, taking orders, and delivering exceptional food quality to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Take orders at the front counter/food preparation area
- Assemble and cook all food to order
- Call orders for walk-in customers and those seated in the 80 seater restaurant
- Handle stock control and service par levels
- Liaise with floor personnel, managers, and assist with cashiers if needed
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12
- Cheffing Certificate or Diploma level Qualification
- At least 2 – 3 years high-volume food preparation experience
- Excellent knife skills and confidence in hot and cold preparation methods
- Exceptional personal hygiene and presentation
- Experience working in an Asian kitchen or with Asian ingredients (ideal but not essential)

- Formal education/certifications are required for this role.
