Job Description

Overview: To maintain accurate financial records and reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies. The Financial Accountant supports month-end and year-end close, prepares financial reports, reconciles accounts, and provides reliable financial information to support decision-making.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
· Manage accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
· Assist with stock take processes.
· Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
· Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
· Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential areas for improvement.
· Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audits.
· Utilize accounting software and IT systems to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
· Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
· Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications and skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE Evolution) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Work Environment:
· Office-based, but occasional on-site visits may be required.
· Occasional overtime for month-end and year-end processes.
