About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technician to join our team in Polokwane. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electronic security equipment, ensuring seamless communication with clients and adherence to agreements and health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electronic security equipment
- Regular communication and development of good relationships with clients
- Attention to detail on all aspects of relevant work
- Adhering to the Agreement between the client and the company
- Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations
- Feedback to Operations Manager
- Problem Solving /Project Management
- Management and control of documentation, including Registers, Overtime and Route Sheets
- Submission of fault reports on the system
- Available to be on standby when required
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- National Diploma/Trade Test in: Electrical Engineering/Electronics (preferred)
- Advanced certifications in security systems (advantage)
- Certified fibre optic technician (splicing & OTDR) (advantage)
- Electrical fence installer certification (registered where required)
- Access control system certifications (e.g. Impro, Hikvision, Gallagher, etc)
- Network certifications (e.g. Cisco CCNA or equivalent)
