About the Role
A reputable lodge operation in Pongola, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a Junior Electrician/Maintenance Technician to support its maintenance department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual eager to grow within the hospitality and lodge maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults across buildings and lodge infrastructure
- Install and maintain single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
- Work on distribution boards, wiring systems, lighting circuits, and outlets
- Assist with electrical components of HVAC/air-conditioning systems
- Install and maintain electric geysers and hot water systems
- Conduct troubleshooting and electrical fault-finding
- Assist with water pumps and electrically driven systems
- Support preventative electrical maintenance programs
- Perform handyman duties including basic building repairs
- Maintain safety compliance and proper tool care
Requirements
- Electrical qualification or trade certification (N2 / N3 / Trade Test or similar)
- Practical experience with single-phase and three-phase systems
- Knowledge of HVAC electrical components
- Experience with electric geyser installations
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a remote environment
