About the Role

We are seeking a practical and experienced Junior Plumber / Maintenance Technician to join our luxury game lodge’s maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and water systems across the lodge and surrounding infrastructure. You will also assist with general maintenance tasks as directed by our Maintenance Supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems across lodge buildings and infrastructure
• Diagnose and repair water leaks, pipe failures, and plumbing faults
• Install and maintain water reticulation systems, valves, and pipe networks
• Maintain water pumps and water pressure systems
• Assist with maintenance of water filtration and purification systems
• Maintain geyser installations, hot water systems, and related plumbing components
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify maintenance requirements
• Support preventative maintenance programs for water infrastructure
• Assist the maintenance team with general maintenance work across the lodge when required
• Perform general handyman duties including basic building repairs and installations

Requirements

• Plumbing qualification or formal training (Trade Certificate, N2/N3, or equivalent)
• Proven practical experience in plumbing installations and maintenance
• Experience working with water pumps, valves, and water distribution systems
• Experience installing and maintaining geyser systems and hot water supply
• Basic understanding of water system maintenance and safety procedures
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work in a remote lodge environment

Qualifications

• Formal education/certifications (Trade Certificate, N2/N3, or equivalent)
