About the Role

Our client is seeking an Administration Clerk to provide operations and finance support in their Port Elizabeth office. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing ancillary charges, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing administrative assistance to the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational & Ancillary Charges Processing: Capture, process, and verify ancillary charges related to coldstore and quayside operations.
  • Finance Administration: Ensure all charges are correctly reflected in the billing system with accurate rates upon completion, perform daily reconciliations to confirm accuracy of transactions, and maintain well-organised financial records and filing systems.
  • Operational Support & Liaison: Liaise with Operations teams to resolve discrepancies and clarify charges, respond to routine internal and external queries related to ancillary charges and finance matters.
  • General Duties: Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of financial information, adhere to company policies, procedures, and internal controls, and provide additional administrative or finance-related support as required.

Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is the minimum requirement. A Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping will be advantageous.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a finance or administrative role is required. Experience within a coldstore, warehousing, logistics, or agricultural environment is advantageous but not essential.
