About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lecturer to join our institution, specializing in Mercantile Law modules at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting research, and contributing to the academic community.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate effective learning and teaching in Mercantile Law modules, including service modules such as Labour Law, Environmental Law, Commercial Law, Law of Contract, and Company Law.
- Assume responsibility for course materials, lectures, tutorials, and assessment of modules in Mercantile Law.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Perform independent research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Carry out administrative duties and other functions as assigned by the Department or Faculty.
Requirements
- Relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Mercantile Law, including Labour Law, Environmental Law, Commercial Law, Law of Contract, and Company Law.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- A relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g. LLB, LLM).
- Teaching experience at the tertiary level.
