Our client in the Manufacturing Sector is currently looking to employ an experienced Master Scheduler to their team in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Production / Maintenance Planning, Engineering, or related field (NQF 6)
  • Degree advantageous
  • Up to 5 years experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, MPS, and supply chain processes
  • Experience with SAP / ERP systems
  • Advanced computer literacy (MS Office Suite)

Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Resource Planning

  • Ensure sufficient supply of raw materials and components to support production plans
  • Maintain MRP parameters and master data within ERP systems
  • Forecast strategic and imported materials
  • Manage replenishment and ordering processes

Master Production Scheduling (Monthly)

  • Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
  • Align production plans with sales forecasts and operational requirements
  • Optimise capacity utilisation and inventory levels
  • Coordinate with procurement, QA, and operations to ensure supply readiness

Production Planning and Control (Daily)

  • Schedule daily production activities in line with MPS
  • Ensure fulfilment of customer orders (including OEM and export requirements)
  • Monitor production performance and resolve deviations
  • Maintain accurate SAP/ERP transactions and inventory records
  • Support production teams with planning guidance and material availability

Compliance, Governance and Risk

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation
  • Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor risks and maintain effective control measures
  • Ensure adherence to SHEQ standards and labour regulations

Cost and Financial Control

  • Monitor and control operational costs in line with budget
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies
  • Support budgeting and financial planning processes
  • Analyse variances and implement corrective actions

Customer Service

  • Provide responsive support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Resolve production and supply-related issues promptly
  • Maintain strong communication with key departments
