Role Overview
A well-established Managed Services Provider in Gqeberha is seeking a capable and hands-on Project Manager to oversee infrastructure and technology projects across multiple client environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from planning through to completion, including network cabling, fibre installations, and IP camera (CCTV) projects. This role requires a strong balance between project coordination and practical on-site involvement.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, client-focused, technically minded, and comfortable working in fast-paced operational environments while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage infrastructure and technology projects end-to-end.
- Coordinate site surveys, resource planning, procurement, and project logistics.
- Manage installations relating to network cabling, fibre cabling, and CCTV systems.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular progress updates and manage client expectations professionally.
- Assist with on-site groundwork where required, including cable routing, conduit installations, patch panel terminations, and camera mounting.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including scopes of work, schedules, site reports, and handover documentation.
- Identify and resolve project risks and issues proactively.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards and client specifications.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource utilisation.
- Support post-installation testing, commissioning, and client training.
- Contribute to improving internal project delivery processes and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 35 years experience in a Project Management or Project Coordination role.
- Previous exposure to IT, telecoms, networking, or structured cabling environments.
- Practical understanding of copper and fibre cabling installations.
- Experience with IP camera (CCTV) systems, including basic setup and configuration.
- Strong project coordination and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Valid South African drivers licence and own reliable transport.
- Based in or able to commute to Gqeberha reliably.
Advantageous Skills & Experience
- Project Management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum.
- Experience within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
- Exposure to surveillance platforms such as Hikvision or Dahua.
- Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Monday.com.
- Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety requirements relevant to installations.

- Matric / Grade 12.

- Must be legally authorised to work in South Africa.
