About the Role

Network Finance is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Technician to join their team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of the IT department, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server environments, among other critical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, migrate, and upgrade Windows Server environments.
• Administer Active Directory, including users, groups, organisational units, DNS, and Group Policy.
• Configure, monitor, and test backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Administer Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and licensing.
• Provide advanced desktop and end-user support across Windows environments.
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues, including RAM, storage, and peripheral upgrades.
• Monitor client environments using remote management and monitoring tools.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and client records.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technical staff where required.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on IT support and systems administration experience.
• Strong Windows Server administration experience (2016/2019/2022).
• Solid Active Directory administration skills.
• Proven experience with server migrations and domain migrations.
• Experience implementing and managing backup and recovery solutions.
• Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• Strong desktop support and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Hardware diagnostics, upgrades, and repairs.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and general networking principles.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, patch management, and IT security best practices.

Preferred Experience

• Linux backup solutions and administration.
• Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Microsoft Intune.
• Experience with RMM platforms.
• Firewall technologies.
• Virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware.
• VoIP environments.
