Job Description
About the Role
The company is looking for a competent and motivated person who will supervise the maintenance function, specifically in the Wheel Making area and also assist in the running of the maintenance department for the whole site.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible and Accountable for the day-to-day running of the maintenance department
- Ensure the availability of equipment for the production plan requirements
- Ensure the availability of all site services in conjunction with the Maintenance Superintendent of Wheel Finishing and Maintenance Planner
- Responsible & accountable for keeping up to date of critical spares list in the wheel making area.
- Ability to adapt and overcome any maintenance constrains which may arise.
- Responsible and accountable for the control of the maintenance budget in the wheel making area.
- Collaborate with production department to identify, define and solve problems
- Assist the maintenance department to manage the plant energy footprint
- Suggestion and implementation of energy saving initiatives
- Provide assistance to maintenance team 24 hours a day
- Participate in internal and external audits
Requirements
Red seal qualified artisan either Mechanical or Electrical trade essential
National diploma qualification Essential
Supervisory qualification advantageous
