About the Role
Profile Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Wheel Making Superintendent Designate in our Port Elizabeth facility. As the leader of the maintenance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring equipment availability, and maintaining critical spares lists. You will also collaborate with production departments to identify and solve problems, as well as implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce the plant’s energy footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance department and ensure its effective operation
- Coordinate the availability of equipment for production requirements
- Maintain accurate records of critical spares lists in the wheel making area
- Collaborate with Maintenance Superintendent of Wheel Finishing and Maintenance Planner to align site services
- Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce the plant’s energy footprint
Requirements
- Red Seal qualified artisan or equivalent, either Mechanical or Electrical trade essential
- National diploma qualification essential
- Supervisory qualification advantageous
- 10 years in the Automotive/Manufacturing environment with experience using machinery in a wheel making manufacturing plant
- Strong problem-solving ability by means of 5 Why, Fishbone, or SWOT analysis
Qualifications
- Red Seal qualified artisan (Mechanical or Electrical trade)
- National diploma qualification
