About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Pretoria, responsible for managing production costing and inventory valuation in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage production costing and costing models
  • Analyse variances and identify inefficiencies
  • Maintain BOMs, routings and costing structures on ERP
  • Prepare production and cost reports
  • Support stock control, working capital and audit requirements

Requirements

  • BCom Accounting / Cost & Management Accounting CIMA highly advantageous
  • 5 years Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience with:
  • Production costing
  • Cost per ton
  • Inventory valuation (WAC / standard costing)
  • BOM structures and yield/process costing
  • Variance analysis
  • ERP systems experience (Sage X3 / SAP or similar)

Qualifications

  • Formal education in Accounting or related field
