About the Role
RPO Recruitment’s client, an established building contractor, is seeking a motivated Junior Building Quantity Surveyor to join their site team on a retail development in Pretoria. This position is available immediately and will initially be offered on a limited-duration contract, with the possibility of permanent employment based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Measurement of labour-only subcontractor work (brickwork, plaster, formwork, etc.)
- General site measurement and quantity verification
- Administration of Contract Instructions
- Attending and contributing to site meetings
- Assisting with order quantity verification and better buying
- Supporting the commercial team with day-to-day site QS duties
Requirements
- National Diploma in Building/BTech/BSc degree in Quantity Surveying
- Approximately 12 years of practical site experience
- Completed studies and available for full-time work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable interacting daily with subcontractors and site labour
- Computer literate and detail-oriented
- Proficient in MS Office, RIB CCS Candy, QTO, BuildSmart
