About the Role

A Mechanical Simulation Engineer is required in Pretoria-East to work on Finite Element analysis and modelling for an international client base with an excellent pipeline of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for FEA and experience working with various software tools.

  • Finite Element Analysis
  • Geometry Preparation
  • Simulation Setup and Execution
  • CAD / CAE-based Design of Mechanical Systems/Structures
  • Engineering Analysis and Calculation
  • Compilation of Engineering Documents and Reports
  • Internal & External Technical Support
  • Expansion and Maintenance of Company Knowledge
  • Procurement, Sourcing, and Expediting Support

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Mechatronic Engineering
  • 5 years experience
  • Proven prior FEA experience and/or qualification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work on Microsoft Teams
  • Experience in Siemens Solid Edge, PTC Creo, or Solidworks (advantageous)
  • Experience in FEMAP and Matlab or Python (advantageous)
  • Experience in non-linear and dynamic/transient simulation (advantageous)
  • Experience in a military vehicle design environment (advantageous)
