Network Finance is seeking an experienced Design Engineering Manager to lead and manage all engineering and design activities across our business in Pretoria North. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation, improving products, and enhancing existing solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all engineering and design activities across the business
  • Take full ownership of equipment design validation, ensuring quality, accuracy, and performance
  • Drive research and development initiatives to enhance existing products and introduce new solutions
  • Oversee and approve production drawings, ensuring alignment with project and manufacturing requirements
  • Compile and present technical tenders with a high level of professionalism
  • Engage directly with clients through site visits, technical discussions, and solution development
  • Develop detailed Bills of Materials and product specifications
  • Spearhead new product and component development projects
  • Plan, track, and deliver projects using structured timelines and Gantt charts
  • Mentor, guide, and support engineering team members to achieve performance excellence
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve products, processes, and engineering outcomes

Requirements

  • BSc Mechanical Engineering (or higher)
  • 5–10 years’ experience within a design engineering role in manufacturing, mining, or heavy engineering
  • Strong expertise in FEA, with hands-on experience using Ansys
  • Proficient in SolidWorks for detailed design work
  • Proven experience in analyzing components and full assemblies using finite element methods
  • Strong project management, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid South African driver’s license and reliable transport
